How To Get Bad Credit Personal Signature Loans

If you have bad credit but are looking to get unsecured bad credit personal signature loans then you may have a difficult time. These loans can be very hard to secure for one simple reason – they are very high risk loans for a bank or a credit union to underwrite and/or carry on their books. Because of this, bad credit signature loans are fairly uncommon unless they are done following the below guidelines:

First, if you want to get this type of loan go talk with your lender and banker before you apply and find out what you would need to do before the application process in order to increase your chances of success. Remember, bankers are not evil – they get paid if you get the loan, so in this case your interests are (and should be) alligned.

Second, find out if you can fix anything small on your credit that will enable your credit score to improve, even if it the improvement is only marginal – every small thing can help when you are trying to secure a fairly risky loan.

Your third option is to try to find a co-signer who will help you secure the loan. This is probably your best option when it comes to unsecured loans. Even though the loan is not secured, the lender would have more than just you to come after in case you defaulted on the loan, as the co-signer would be responsible to pay in that case. Of course, you may have a hard time finding someone willing to step up and supply this guarantee for you, but if you can then the total cost of your personal signature loan will decrease very meaninfully, so it is definitely worth the time and hassle to find someone who is willing to do this for you.
